Melbourne based, Dr Tipnis offers circumcision procedures in Tasmania for both medical and non-medical reasons, strictly adhering to age-related clinical guidelines.

Adults (18 Years and Over)

Circumcision is available for all individuals aged 18 and over, regardless of the reason (medical or non-medical).

Adolescents (Aged 14 to 17)

For patients aged between 14 and 17, circumcision is only performed for medically indicated reasons.

Common medical indications include:

1. Phimosis
2. Recurrent infections of the foreskin or glans
3. Other urological concerns affecting health and wellbeing

In accordance with clinical policy, patients in this age group must provide two referral letters from independent General Practitioners not affiliated with the GP Collective group. 

These letters must clearly state:

1. The specific medical indication for the circumcision
2. That the procedure is beneficial to the patients’ health and wellbeing.
